Coloring Book Program
Recognizing that for hundreds of children who are staying in one of Shanghai hospital and rehabilitation centers and unable to leave their beds while recovering, an opportunity to develop a program that would reduce boredom, and provide new activities to the children receiving treatments in the hospitals, volunteers will expand visit Shanghai’s three children’s hospitals and kick off HandsOn Shanghai’s new coloring book delivery program.
It was a program that extended beyond traditional programming as children who were not well enough to leave bed, but are in need of support, could be reached.
During each event, volunteers would deliver coloring books to all residents within Shanghai’s three children’s hospitals, pass out (and give presentations on) basic hygiene and home safety, as well as give simple performances (juggling, art, music).
